The Santissimi Apostoli Church in Florence
Coming from the Holy Trinity square and crossing the palazzo Buondelmonti and Palazzo Spini Ferroni arrive at Borgo Santissimi Apostoli that perhaps holds the largest and interesting medieval area of Florence. Legend has it that the Church of the Holy Apostles and Biagio was built above a small burial grounds in the early 9th century, founded by Charlemagne. The square is known as Limbo since created at the ancient cemetery for the dead children before receiving baptism. A church that looks straight out of a hill in the countryside, but in the heart of Florence. Here reality and fantasy melt together. This microscopic Church is among the oldest of Florence, is worth a visit, it was only for the delightful piazzetta on which faces.
