The Santo Stefano al Ponte Church in Florence
Leaving behind the old Bridge opens a small square on the right side is dominated by the facade of the Church of Santo Stefano al Ponte which today is home to the tuscany regional Orchestra.
The works preserved originate mostly from the former archiepiscopal Museum. There are exposed vestments, Goldsmith's art objects and paintings. Very interesting is the seventeenth-century intervention, which has created a unique architecture characterized by broken lines. In the former convent, adjacent to the Church, is the Diocesan Museum of sacred art. Among the masterpieces are: the Madonna enthroned by Giotto, the Predella Quaratesi by Paolo Uccello and the San Giuliano Masolino. A glimpse of Florence is not among the most famous but definitely full of suggestions.
